Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Big Brush Pen in black is my favorite sign lettering marker. Made with India Ink, this marker gives a dark rich color that lasts and doesn't fade. It is water-proof, permanent and odorless.

When using for a door hanger or sign, be sure to use a spray sealer. A brush on sealer could cause the marker to smear.
